How To Create an Email Address with your New Bluehost Domain

This post discusses how to create an email address with your new Bluehost domain. We previously wrote about registering your domain name and purchasing website hosting for this domain name now we go into detail about how to create an email address with your new Bluehost domain.

So how to set up an email address with your new domain?

 

1.  Log in to your Bluehost control panel and at the top of the Bluehost control panel click on the email icon.

2. Click on the create an email account button

 

Enter the email address you wish to create (note the @domain section defaults to your domain). Select a password to is within the security guidelines that Bluehost has outlined (this password creation can be hard to do so in most cases I click on the option for Bluehost to generate a password for me). To get a randomly generated password (that is within the security guidelines) click on the generate password button (to the right of the enter password box). To view the password that has been created click on the eye icon (immediately to the right of the enter password box). Make sure you save this password immediately!

 

In the default webmail client dropdown menu, you can select which one of the three webmail clients you wish to use, ie Roundcube (you don’t need to select one here as you are always given the selection option in which to view your webmail. In the mailbox storage section, I always select the unlimited mailbox size (select this unless your web hosting selection doesn’t allow unlimited mailbox size).

 

Now click create to create your new email address!

 

Congratulation you now have your new email address linked to your new domain and you are now ready to send and receive emails from this new email address!

 

Remember, after you have created your new email address and password make sure you write down and store these somewhere safe.
